I actually don't mind the story, and with a more nuanced execution I think it could've become great even. Sadly the mangaka's delivery fell short for me ultimately as it couldn't quite bring out all the potential that the story has and I can't say I've become much attached or sympathetic to the characters, if at all. I'm also not a big fan of the art, but I've already said this before.
