Ravelin and Jenkin are two brothers who, throughout their childhood, only had one friend, the arrogant Stefanne. The two brothers have always been warned not to approach the White Flame Lake, the only lake that doesn't freeze during winter and where the song of a very rare bird can be heard. One day, Ravelin ventures into the forest surrounding the lake, determined to discover the origin of the bird's song, but a terrible tragedy looms around him, and the two brothers' lives will never be the same.
