A good enough sequel to the original manga (you can see my review on that page). I liked that it gave a proper ending to the characters, which is nice. And pretty sweet too. I would have enjoyed the parallel world a lot more if the theme wasn't problematic and low key predatory/grooming. But it's common enough in BL I guess...
I was ready to give Itou-san a lower rating before I read this. Now, it's a masterpiece *crying* This series is seriously good, even more so because it was the mangaka's first BL (or so I heard). Sensei is amazing!
the prequel is really good, so I had to read this one too.
I like the filling in of some of Itou's backstory, but I also think that it was a bit too weird.
him being a clone or whatever weird experiment thing they were saying was just too much for me, and it broke the suspension of disbelief. I also didn't care for the abuse backstory with the "boss" it seemed unnecessary for his character.
It was nice to see more of his backstory with Kyousuke though, and to get a more clear ending for their story.

There's not a single thing in this volume that I don't like; from the first 3 chapters detailing the life of "I" leading to his fateful encounter with Kyousuke, to the proper conclusion to their story in the 3 that followed, everything is so well done and I just can't help feeling happy reading about them, you know! The narrative in the backstory is quite excellent if I do say so myself - it sucks you right into that world and makes you hold your breath in suspense even if you don't realise it. That's some good writing right there.
