Where do human emotions come from and where do they go?

Yang Yang is a female university student living in Taipei, Taiwan. After losing her beloved grandmother, whom she cared for with all her heart, despite the emotional toll, she spends her days in deep grief. What's more, the man she loved has another lover and doesn't love her back...

As if to escape from everything, Yang Yang travels to Okinawa, a foreign country that is both close and far away, as an exchange student. She begins her life in a foreign land still carrying with her memories of her grandmother and the pain of her love, but as she interacts with the people of Okinawa and comes into contact with the history engraved in the land, she gradually begins to find a sense of self again.
