It doesn't really make sense to me to have a Christian/Bible/Ten Commandments-type belief system in place in FMA. The basis for this is in episode 46.when Izumi points out that the letter is dated "based on the year of Christ's birth" and Ed is like "??" and she says "oh it's some old religion that doesn't exist anymore."
