Revenge Blueprint
by Onii_Chan09

Rating: 7.0  / 10.0
Right of the start it gave me Shield Hero, Redo of Healer and "EX Skill Fixed Damage" vibes. More so the 3rd example which is a similar length at around 40 chapters or so and how edgey it was. It didn't have nearly as much ecchi as Redo of Healer which was a good thing, I aways felt Redo would have been better without all the sex. This Manga is the basic revenge story where the MC gets betrayed by his female childhood friend that he obviously had feelings for but never admits it, although it's never stated outright that he's in love with her, it is infered. It also has a dungeon crawl aspect as well as being an isekai so it covers a few genres. The main issue I have with it (a few other comments had the same issue) and that's the obviously rushed ending. From what I read online, it was canceled around the same time the LN ended so I'm guess it was a joint cancelation. Ino my opinion it's worth reading, at only 33 chapters in can be read in a few hours if read in a single session or in a couple days if read in increments. I will say though, if you're not into revenge as a motivation for MCs then this one is probably not for you.

rushed ending

If the ending of this wasn't rushed and the author took more time to flesh the story beats and the characters out, it could have developed into a really solid 60-episode story.

It's still a fun read if you have a few hours and are waiting on other things, but it could have been a lot better.

Strange story, some unique elements; somewhat enjoyable

This story uses mystery as the main foundation to narrate what or why the characters are doing things. We do not know the intentions of many characters, nor their past, or what they are capable of. We do not even know what the world is about but it uses this fact to try and use your own imagination (?). Bit tough because I was not very attached to any characters, however the story is interesting. Although it pisses me off that I do not know what happens in the end or with that mystery op girl, maybe this is the reaction the author wants from me. Anyway it's definitely interesting, although it gets a low rating, I believe everyone should give it a read as I think the rating can vary depending on the person.

Very edgy but surprisingly enjoyable.

I was a bit unsure at first. It's like many dark, edgy manga that love gore and sexual violence. They always try too hard to make everything as terrible and gutwrenching as possible. However, I couldn't help but end up liking it. None of the characters were particularly special or anything, the writing didn't stand out, the artstyle and story were decent... but the whole work came together pretty cohesively for an enjoyable and gratuitous ride.

I also think the manga is a good length, doesn't outstay its welcome. I do wish the ending was a little more fleshed out, as is the case with most manga, but I didn't hate how it ended up.

i get the feeling that this could have been more compelling if the same story elements were drawn out a bit so the reader had more time to empathize with junpei and his feelings of betrayal, and particularly with junpei's bonds with the few decent characters. there's a decent grimdark story at the heart of this, it's just not pulled off very well.

The story was pretty good in my opinion, but wtf was the ending?!? It was like the author gave up and rushed a random ending. I’ve read my fair share of rushed endings but this has got to be one of the worst...

Edgy

This manga feels like it is trying to hard to make this dudes life miserable. Also literally everybody is a firggen psychopath, with the exception of like two characters but
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
one dies anyway, because the MC can't have anything nice because he needs even more reasons to be edgy and depressed
. There are plot holes and so many things are never explained. Thankfully it is only 33 chapters, if it was any longer I don't think I would have finished it.

If you like "Dark" and "The world is out to get me" kind of protagonist, or just have a boner for edgy shitty revenge storys then this one is your you.

This manga is extremely hard to be emotionally invested in.. like really, whether it is the MC plight, whether MC gets betrayed, faces a major event or even gaining sympathy from the readers.. the author has done a lazy job at creating impact whatsoever and instead uses shock content as a clutch to give off that effect.

None of the characters feel like characters at all...

but it did keep me entertained throughout, with novel characters and plots (even if it was stupidly written), it is fun if you're into dark themed story

Awful

A manga that likes to exaggerate everything to get more impact but ends up being mediocre because of it in every aspect. Be it him being betrayed, his face when killing monsters or his bloodlust, it's soon clearly evident that the author has no interesting in making this serious or realistic, a scene that could have been very emotive like his betrayal is portrayed as a joke of human with demonish and sluttish faces when it would have been way more meaningful if the guilt was expressed by the betrayers or at least by Noriiko, his only friend along with the shame of selling her body to feel safe siding with the strong, really a waste and this is how the author chooses to do everything in the manhua.
Story is thus reduced to bloodlust and revenge with the MC going from a spineless bastard to the most courageous man on earth within 2 panels and his face transforming from a normal person to one full of depravity in a likewise short time. How can anyone take this crap seriously. And I don't call kill one monster and become extremely strong a story based on weak to strong, I call it broken and boring. So no char development, no story progression and so far not much world building since it doesn't take long for him to be sent to the dungeon and there is little to show there. In sum a mess and an awful one, dropped it fast enough. Might try once more since I didn't get far but I really doubt it will change and improve.

Brilliant. Seriously dark, but brilliant.

This series is freaking amazing. The beginning plot is similar to Tate no Yusha, but as the story goes on it is more similar to those solo dungeoning series, it's a weak to strong type but it is absolutely amazing.
The pacing of this manga is sometimes too fast though, but whatever it is, I have never read a series which is so absurd yet so moving.

A must read for those who like solo and tragic stories like SAO (Aincard arc), Solo Leveling and Assassin De Aru...
