Nagiri Koutarou works at the deli at the grocery store. One day, he notices that the salary man he sees all the time, Takano Wataru, always buys the dishes that he makes. Its felt like one fake freeloader guy use that lonely guy to sacrifices everything for him and filled his greedy selfish big stomach everyday forever ,I seriously hate him , he singlehandedly ruined all the fun for me.
It's felt like he is using Nagiri till the very end and Nagiri need to sacrifices everything for that forced rs.
Someone need to tell Naguri it's not love but scamming dude, he just want to use u bcz it's easier for him and he will never hesitate to drop u for simplist thing be a job or a women it's so clear what type of a guy that fake scammer mf is tbh

Very sweet story

It's good and sweet and gentle and free of cliche yaoi drama. There are a few places where I had a hard time figuring out what had happened or how they got there, which I suspect was due to both the original writing and the translation.

The actual "getting together" or "expressing feelings" moment is disjointed. Because of that, I found it more difficult to follow their feelings afterwards.

I do really like the art, and the premise, and the characters themselves. It's refreshing to read a low-drama romance about adults that still manages to engage me.

Room for improvement (especially having read other phenomenal works by this mangaka) but well worth reading.

There's a sort of seamless nature to how the events of this manga play out. Right from the start you get the impression that these two don't mind each others' presence. As someone else already pointed out, there isn't much smuttiness to the "action scenes". When that stuff goes down there's a warm and cozy feeling to it with a touch of gentleness. For what it is, I wish there were more panels dedicated to how good the food looks and the food aspect in general. The side characters are forgettable

which is kind of awkward since one of them gives Nagiri-san the push to move out and create his food stand

Something missing

The characters are reasonably likeable and the manga's general atmosphere is pretty nice, but as far as the story's execution goes this one is above average at best. The first chapter was actually a decent lead-up to the meat of the story but I never quite got the same exhilaration reading from that point on again like I did at the beginning. There's just this lack of that certain "oomph" in the delivery that prevented it from really taking off, which is a shame because I actually appreciate the earnest emotional aspect and the mature, down-to-earth vibe that the mangaka successfully conveyed through this story. Overall it wasn't a bad read, just wasn't excellent either.

Never Enough Food

This is a cooking manga with very little focus on the cooking. We open to two males, one who can cook really well but doesn't have anyone he wants to even spend time around and one who eats out all the time and just so happens to choose all dishes that male #1 has cooked behind the scenes. An exchange of names as well as one coincidental meeting later, fate takes it's hold.

From this point on, these two men enter a state of destiny-based good luck that sends them into a blissful relationship which is pivotal to the entire manga that this couple has absolutely no other external flaws or struggles than the one which is presented to us. Internal flaws and struggles will be ever present in every manga, but are relatively glossed over here as well. But now on to what was good & bad about this one.

Good:
  • It's a whole lot of fluff, with some sex. Don't expect a whole ton of pornographic content, but what was there was romantically sexy enough for me at least.
  • Wholly a consensual relationship that doesn't bring up bigoted prejudices.
  • Both partners are masculine coded. Though there is nothing wrong with agender coding or characters that are more feminine coded, I do enjoy seeing partners that are your typical, everyday guys who aren't super buff or macho, just falling in love with the partner who catches their interest.

Negative Things (IMO):
  • It really does just gloss over a relationship and struggles like it's easy peasy pie. I won't lie. This happens in a lot of yaoi, but continue to expect it here as well. #Communication, people!
  • There is a sense of forced entitlement from one side that I felt here. Though this feeling of mine may come from the condensed timeline so the author could fit the whole plot into the page limits.
    Spoiler (mouse over to view)
When Takano ambushes Nagiri at his work, loudly interrupting, and then further requests he come over to cook all his meals, it comes off as little more than entitled to me. Sure, they get into a relationship later so this is supposed to be the "invitation," but at this point (as is admitted later on) Takano doesn't have any romantic attachment to Nagiri. That only comes later. Right now, he just wanted the food and believes it's easier if Nagiri comes over and does it for him.
