I was using the "surprise me" link on mangareader where I found this webcomic The cover was rather eye catching so I decided to give this a go even though the synopsis sounded nothing out of the usual.
First thing that caught me was the art. It's in full color, and magnificently done at that. You often find yourself just staring at the panel letting the details sink in before you actually go on to do the reading. The character drawings are also very well done. I see a bit of resemblance in some character with other popular ones out thesr, but it is nothing too bothersome.
The story.
As of now, I've read till ch.15 (the last available ch.) and I must say my heart goes out for sol.
//spoilers//
The most saddening scene was definitely how sol's mother was slaughtered in cold blood by the scheming professor of the hospital and his equally shady staff to obtain sol for their experiment which they did succeed in.
16 years later, sol is mature and reserved teen who seems sensible to his surroundings and loves his father who tried to fill in the space for both parents.
Yi, sol's father, is desperately chasing a man from the same organization who led to the experiment, and the eventual turn of events takes his life too, leaving sol alone in the world and undless sadness to follow.
That is when his resolve to avenge everything that happened to him and his family leads him on the journey to discover his powers, as by now he has already witnessed some events which gave him clear evidence he is not normal.
///spoiler end.
All in all a good read, even if you don't find the story too special, you'll definitely love the way its drawn and presented. Sol as the lead is a loveable character that you can easily relate to. I'm looking forward to how the story unfolds here on. And the fact that this is a relatively small comic puts me at ease that I won't have to wait for billion chapters before I know what the climax of the story will be like.
