The main character is annoying as hell and the world is devoid of charm

He has one character trait, and it's his obsession with his little sister. Literally every action he takes is in service to her not getting a "bad ending". He has no curiosity about the setting, what made him reincarnate, whether the world is real. He has no interest in any of the people around him and only views them through the lens of how they can interact with his little sister. He doesn't even have a good reason to like her. He didn't care for the character in his past life or anything, he just saw her as a baby in this world and instantly forgot all his prior motivations and interests and solely devoted himself to her.

And maybe that'd be okay if the little sister was interesting, but she's not. She has the flattest personality in the world and is basically a mirror of her brother. She is obsessed with her brother and that's about all she has going on. She wants to be a knight and save people as well, but again, that ties directly into her interest with her brother as he's the one who introduced her to the concept.

And maybe THAT'D be okay too, if the series had literally any other characters. But it doesn't. Every other person exists either as a problem to be solved or as an object to further prop up these bland-ass empty siblings.

Well, that too could prove interesting if the problems were interesting to solve. But they aren't. Pretty much evey one is brought up, solved with next to no effort (usually by being kind or communicating more directly) and then shelved within a couple chapters to move onto the next thing.

It's all just so valid and empty. It doesn't even feel like a good "turn your brain off and relax" type series, because the focus is constantly shifting and there is next to no comedy or character interactions going on outside of the two siblings.
