I loved the art, and the ending qas just imo phenomenal. To give an idea, some people will hate the ending, and some people will love the ending, and im a part of the latter half

Fantastic artwork, as is expected of Boichi

The artwork by Boichi is beautiful as always, very detailed features and he's able to always create very unique characters. I think this manga could have done without the obvious nudity that he's trying to put front and forward. It's just a little extra and irrelevant for what this manga was about.

The plot is also very shallow. The meaning of friendship, love, and betrayal honestly isn't well-portrayed and they don't transition well into the idea of reviving a dead religion. The three friends felt ENTIRELY out of place when it came to religion; it was literally something I felt like Boichi was scrounging around to get some okay content so that he could display his artworks. Funny because I actually liked this plot but it just wasn't really delivered right. If you want something REAL to read, something that speaks more closely about friendship and loyalty but also by Boichi, just skip his other works (including this one) and go straight to Sun-Ken Rock.

The first thing I've ever rated this low

If you're in the mood to watch the patriarchy get five volumes of validation then go ahead and read this. Here's a breakdown of the plot for you: The woman is the main character (and god) oh JK, the man is the main character (and god), women are evil. The end.

If you want to read a good manga about Gnosticism I recommend “Eden - It’s an Endless World,” by Endo Hiroki-Sensei.

Pretty art and interesting premise but god was that ending a load of BS

Luna seemed like the main and she was promising but then the end is like some typical guy savior bull. this is basically crap disguised in shiny tinfoil

Boichi

This manga has nothing going for it, even if it's signed Boichi.
I don't feel like going into detail, my advice is to really lower your expectations and maybe you won't consider your time completely wasted.

I have mixed feelings towards this manga... it had an awesome premise and seemed like it was going places, but after awhile it just took an abrupt nose dive. I mean that ending was just... no. Don't get me wrong, I would still recommend it to someone, just don't expect it to be an in depth story line. I'm only giving it such a high rating because I'm a sucker for Boichi's art.

Great art...BUT

The art is good, but everything else is mediocre at best. The scenes within this manga make you gasp because of how detailed and well drawn they are. On the other hand, the characters are tired tropes with limited characteristics. They don't seem to react as normal people would. As a result, you feel detached from the story. Speaking of the story...It makes fuck all sense. The ending totally blows. Additionally, the religious themes that are forced on you throughout the story are so over powering that it might make you throw up. With that said, the story is rather unique and intriguing to read even if it doesn't really make sense.

I hate it...

...but I don't think most manga fans will.

Boichi is the best manga artist I've ever experienced. The amount of work he's lavished on every panel, and the beauty and handsomeness of the characters he's drawn, are breathtaking! But I dislike action manga, and I don't like religion, so I just can't work up the patience to read this. So disappointing!

On the other hand, this manga is a natural for action fans, and ditto for all people who like highly imaginative manga with smart, impressive, world-spanning stories. I recommend that all manga readers give it a try. I'm giving it the rating I think most of you will.

Oh how I wish he'd do another warm, sweet little story like "I Want to Feed Yumin"!

I as well read the first 10 chapters in one go and I must say I'm really looking forward to more of this, seldom are there stories with religion that do it right and this feels right...
Ofc with the beautiful artwork of Boichi
