I really enjoyed it but in the later parts the author seemed to begin pulling the popular tropes which are already cliché. Like

getting ambushed and saving each other or hints that ML liked FL even in previous lives.

That somewhat dimmed my impression. Yet, MCs are smart, the plot has originality and the art isn't annoying, even beautiful at times. I like FL very much.

One of the few Historical (shoujo/josei) webcomics with an intelligent plot

By intelligent plot, I mean that the female lead does not get reborn only to insta-love the male lead AGAIN! Too many such rebirth stories have excessively convoluted plots with the female leads having their personalities make a sudden U-turn from a meek, bullied female to a kick-ass feme-fatale....at least here it is shown that in ALL her lives she was relatively smart but out of love for the emperor, she made some wrong decisions that invariably lead to her miserable existence. Even the male lead is not shown as just evil- in the past you could say that his anger was justified even if he did not fully understand the FL. All in all, if you want a historical romance with decent main characters, a less convoluted and yet intricate (and believable) plot and where the whole male population IS NOT in love with the FL- then this is the webcomics for you 🙂

I cried reading this. The FL's past lives are so heartbreaking. I hope the FL leaves him, at least for a little while, and ML somehow gets his past lives' memories and regrets his actions. Honestly if FL ends up with someone else I'll be totally fine with that as well. I don't know, I really want ML to suffer and get his heart broken as well. On another note I hope the author doesn't pull a 'oh he actually loved her in his past lives but...' because then that's gonna really make me not like ML.
