"Under the Sky of Tokyo" follows the daily life of a couple in the middle of World War II. Late 1943. Shirakawa, a fighter pilot who fought in various parts of the world, finally returns to Tokyo. He has just been transferred to the Imperial Army Air Test Center. After a long absence, Shirakawa tries to resume his family life with his wife Mariko. "Under the Sky of Tokyo" tells the story of an ordinary couple's daily life at a time when life and death are close together every day.
