So yeah, I was first introduced to this author via Elfen Lied, the anime. Which I adored. Still do. Then I read the manga, and it's ... well, longer and more involved, but for the first time ever, I actually prefer the anime ending to the manga one.

Then I got into Kimi wa Midara [....] which was short and sweet... and totally smut. I quite enjoy that one, for all of it's 2 volumes, nothing compared to all of his other works. Then I got into Nononono(no?) and was extremely bored and turned off by it. Didn't enjoy it at all, didn't finish it either.

Finally got into Gokukoku no Brynhildr, which I loved, but somehow the darkness inherent in it, which is clearly this author's tagline now, got to me more, and so I didn't enjoy it as much as Elfen Lied, even though it was just as dark and tragic.

And now I stumbled across this, and... man... I'm not sure how I feel about it. As noticed by other reviewers, the start is pretty rough, and after a ton of chapters, it really changes tonally. Like if you go back and read the first chapters, they're sooooo different than later ones. Oddly enough, the absolutely comical and ridiculous sex did not turn me away, and that's at least everpresent. What really got to me is the asinine lengths the MC goes to, in multiple circumstances. He's VERY different (in a bad way) from the rest of the author's protagonists, and as a result the work suffers. I mean the world is freaking tragic and disturbing as all hell, even more so than Elfen Lied and Gokukoku no Brynhildr, and that says something. But instead of having a good MC trying to deal with it... I just don't care, because while I can't call him COMPLETE trash, I can't find myself to like him or any other Earth characters. Some of the new world's characters are great, but most aren't important.

But yeah, I just find it very hard to rate this manga. It's dark and it's sexual, but it's TOO dark and the MC doesn't really help mitigate that. It'd be like if you were reading Berserk, but Guts wasn't a protagonist you could root for. Or Goblin Slayer if the titular character died and you had no one to connect with. It's not a 1, but it's definitely not a 10. And it's too individualistic and non-generic to be given a 5. I don't even know if I like it lmao. WTF it's confusing me!

Seriously it's not even the premise that turns me off (pun intended) but the execution is weak. The mc is a douchebag and the art style is so outdated. I've read actual hentai that have better stories and plot progression than this crap.

If you're put off by the soft-core beginning (and entire premise I guess) of this series, then that's understandable. But while the author never really abandons the premise of softcore hentai, the story itself gets to be much more interesting at around the 50 chapter mark or so in my opinion. So if you can, try it out and stick with it.

The deadpan comedy is good, there's an intriguing blend of mystery and world building that never becomes cliche either. 7 to 8 out of 10 as a score after the extremely shaky first couple of chapters

It gets more and more interesting, it's not just some average softcore porn,

Jealousy is a great topic and a great disease imo,
just hope the author will manage to make things even more interesting,

He's good at H-scenes and i think borderline-H mangas have something unique to them,
this one is truly well balanced as the story progresses,

Action scenes are average but it adds to the plot and characters are pretty interesting i'd say,

I've come back to this after dropping it at ch16 or 17 a long while back, and every time there's a little bit of story development I found myself thinking "oh maybe this really is from the author of Ellen Lied and Brynhildr" but I'm pretty sure this is all a joke. The way yogurt comes out from all the ladies' flavortowns every time the only man in the world touches them has to be from a rejected Woody Allen film script. This thing is unbearable, read some H if you want to rub one out, and there's plenty of garbage isekai that isn't so deeply misogynistic (while sometimes masquerading as touching on topics of women's empowerment).

repetitive softcore porn with some ridiculous plot

As the story progresses, it deteriorates more and more. The MC becomes increasingly unlikeable and seems to lose intelligence, maybe from coomer brain. The plot slowly becomes less appealing when its ridiculous backstories are unveiled. By Chapter 271, I found myself hoping for the MC's demise just to hasten the conclusion of the series.

A primary concern is whether this series is worth picking up. If you're seeking a story that doesn’t shy away from sex as a main topic, this one technically offers a plot alongside unabashed depictions of gore and sexual content—a positive aspect in my opinion. However, the quality of the action and explicit scenes is disappointing. The author/artist manages to make static characters appear decent, but their lack of dynamism becomes glaring in scenes of movement, whether in bed or battle. The sexual scenes, with how the MC doesn't change his mindset or the fact that the women are all programmed the same way makes the panels feel repetitive, tedious, and detract from the story’s pace, which is also not gem. Unfortunately, it's neither arousing nor engaging enough to recommend.

My updated story predictions:

This world exists on a Death Star-sized alien ship orbiting Earth in the near future. A cartoonish, emo psychopath gains control of the ship and molds it to his twisted vision. Eventually, he is betrayed by the MC's childhood friend, and 3,000 years later, the main character is Isekai'ed into the future by the ship. Although I want to think the time travel bit is a red herring, with how far off my previous predictions where, I should take the story more at face value.

Original Review:

If you guys (don't think I can say the same for the ladies on this one) like your softcore mixed with some decent enough plot, then this is for you. Also a relatively level headed male lead is always nice to have. Just don't like how talks down to some of the girls when they are literally programmed to become a slobering mess.

Up to chapter 100 and the author has thrown many twists and surprises at the story. If he can somehow tie up all the loose ends, it'll make for a great ending, but it all feels sloppily thrown in so far, so who knows?

My story predictions:

The 3,000 years or whatever time difference between the two worlds is something of a red herring. It's most likely a virtual reality system. He's probably a beta tester or something. He literally respawns when he logs back in through a coma. That mask girl in his modern world is probably a robot gone haywire.

I don't really like this "manga", way to much sex, but since this manga is so extremely reliant on sex sex sex and did i mention sex, i have to wonder why they did not opt for an uncensored hentai manga or whatever it's called instead since that is what it is.

It's not a manga it's porn disguised as manga.
