Although born to a small, noble family in the countryside, Anna, the daughter of a baron, ends up attending the country's most prestigious school, the Trusova Magic Academy, at the request of her kind parents. She nearly loses her place in the school, which is a microcosm of the hierarchical society of the nobles, but her fate changes dramatically when she meets the graceful and beautiful young lady Rachel.
