a subpar and creepy side story that disappoints

coming from the main story, breathless momentum, i expected so much more from this. it was just very disappointing.

first of all, just to clarify: there is no real smut scene that happens, so i don't know if this should be tagged yaoi. it is an adult story, but not really a sexually explicit one.

but onto the manga itself. it suffers from just a lot of unpleasant elements. i fear (coming from a trans person) that the manga sets a bad precedent with Sara (the ML who cross-dresses) as he is an overt stalker. he says outright that he just likes to experiment with clothes, and doesn't seem to want to be perceived as a woman, but it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. i didn't expect that in a side story of such a great manga like breathless momentum that had been such a breath of fresh air.

i also just hate the seme x seme dynamic where both are fantasizing about making the other submit and trying to "win". there is nothing shameful in bottoming. but hey, some people love it, i guess.

Miyoshi, the MC, is just an asshole in general. i would like to see him get knocked down a peg, i won't lie to you. he's just an insanely stubborn and bullheaded man, and frankly he has a superiority complex. he won't have sex with anyone over 5'10 and when Sara says he wants to top, Miyoshi gets up in arms because of both how Sara dresses and how Sara is shorter. it just gets annoying. he is a prejudiced man. but he and sara just... aren't really that compatible, it seems? none of their interactions feel gratifying. the sexual tension is overlaid by how much Miyoshi hates Sara. i'm okay with hate fucking, but they can't even manage that!

i just don't like the creep of this side story into the main one, and i do not see the appeal. sorry for being a hater, i'm definitely not the intended audience for this, unlike breathless momentum. them being linked is baffling.
