This is a very interesting work combining both humour and much darker undertones, Getenrou is like a combination of oneshots set at one single place, although the later chapters are much more connected to one another.
There is very funny comedy and a parody of many usually cliché elements in this manga, which are surprising and pretty original. It's a really enjoyable read that manages to build its own small universe centered around the eponym Getenrou.
A nice comedy, satire, detective story, drama, sci-fi… so many things at the same time! This is what Genterou is about: an extremely lovely mess.

The comedic undertone of the first few chapters will catch you off guard for the incredibly twisted climax. This will definitely make you want to reread the series from the beginning after your first reading. It's a nice and short read. Definitely worth your while.
