In case there is any confusion, not all Shoujo and Josei are romantic stories: please look at the genres if you are uncertain. This had an interesting base, but overall the plot and characters seemed cut off. The art is quite beautiful, though rather stylistic and atypical. Having the focus be entirely on the psychological, and eschewing the romance which one generally finds in modern vampire tales without vilifying them was a refreshing and interesting choice. It would have been interesting to see it play out, though I'm not sure how the mangaka would have done so — that may be WHY it was left as is. It's a decent work.

Well, as the title says, romance is, well, not there really. It can be though, if it was longer. Nevertheless, the art is beautiful; it's different...? Other than that, the story was rather generic, about vampires and such, but the thing that really bothered me was the characters. It felt like it was disjointed, well, it was fine for the female lead, I know she is the way she is, but the main dude, the butler- they were just there, doing whatever the plot wants them, they're pretty empty. I think that this series need to be extended so that we can know more about the characters, to make them more realistic, believable, have a bit more depth to them. (sorry, I suck at reviews x.x)
