This story gets so frustrating at times.
Art is amazing but wow nobody seems to know how to communicate with each other so situations are dragged on for the sake of drama.
When it first came out, I was sceptical because modern romance with this kind of art usually ends up being really annoying to read lol.
But I gave it a try anyways cause I was broke at that time and WEBTOON allows you to read for free (for the most part).
There was a lot going at the beginning with a bunch of trauma inducing stuff.
It originally felt really weird because I figured she will end up with a younger young who she kinda brought up like her own brother...
But there were necessary time apart and interactions between them that made it more believable. I wouldnt say it is perfect but it was much needed.
This story also has a lot of plot convenience but if you are reading just for good romance and communication, you can take the other parts are surface value lol
There were some instances that made me want to throw my phone and I did stop reading for a while because it felt like the female lead was going to be annoying and stupid BUT she isn't.
Her personality is honestly less flat than most and pretty consistent.
Definitely an enjoyable read in 1 sitting (yes I bloody read 100chapters in a sitting-)
Reason for not giving this a higher score has to do mainly with the fact that...
Deep down, I still think it is weird to like someone who is like a family figure 🤣
Story is still a 9/10 in terms of execution, especially modern setting.
Despite how it portrays the characters as unable to communicate at first, it feels more real that they take the time to assess their own feelings and then communicate. People take time. Some more than others. Before they take action on it.
Highly recommended for those who have a bit of patience!
