This is so unusual for a manhua. Maybe that's why it's labeled as a shojo.
The men are emotionally intelligent! And it's actually the most beautiful woman who is literally loyal to death with their female friends. This only happens when the friend "in trouble" is a man in manhua.
Gorgeous women (usually dressed in an overly sexy, eye catching manner or it doesn't count) in manhua usually aren't allowed to like, protect or be loyal to other good looking women who are just as, if not more talented, than them. Usually, they'd be all jealous and catty and looking for any moment to kill their "rival". This is crazy. Awesome.
Actually, it's the same for the vast majority of male MCs in manhua and one too many manhwas. The MC's inner circle may include men but they're not allowed to be good looking or better than MC.
The Not-Like-Other-Guys and Pick-Me authors will never allow their self-insert MC to have close male friendships with men who might overshadow and legitimately threaten the supremacy of their self-inserts. The men hanging around MC will always be old, grizzled men or young male children.
Plus, the women in this are seriously hot and, yes, some are dressed provocatively but are NOT grossly sexualized. They aren't falling all over themselves to heave their exposed bosoms in MC's face when he does something crazy and dashing either.
And most of the women are NOT trying to ride MC's dick, metaphorically or literally. So, when he's surrounded by only women it actually feels good to read. (Obviously, they still admire and praise MC but it has nothing to do with wanting to "be his woman" like in other manhuas.) It does NOT read harem-like at all. Women here have self-respect. Wow, wow, wow.
The female characters are aware of their own standing, their own agendas and act like actual people with lives outside of MC's, well, "Main Character" existence instead of just exaggerated, sexy dolls existing only for the male readers to goon over.
I love it. I can't wait for more.
