From BL-League :
Rei, a host, suddenly reunited with his childhood friend, Makoto, after seven years... Was their encounter only a coincidence or...? Fateful love between a tsundere host and a faithful doctor.
1 Volume (Complete)

I think that the simple lovestory portayed in this manga contains a small but important social warning regarding hosts, a Japanese phenomenon. Hosts do not genuinely care about their clients. They make a living out of exploiting people's emotions. That's why, when Rei said: "Women are just tools to fund my lifestyle", this was the mangaka's opinion and message towards young Japanese women, a subtle wakeup-call for them. "Do not let the hosts sway you. This is just a job for them. Don't go into debt or prostitution for a guy that thinks nothing of you and could potentially be gay". Sensei uses many social commentaries and warnings in her works. This is not something new.
For that reason, for Sensei's storytelling and blended social messages, I rate this manga like that.
This style of story and characterisation has become pretty dated by now, and it's not like this mangaka's works ever had much of a timeless quality to them in general lol. The romance was just insipid and dull, characters were uninspiring and stereotypical, there's literally nothing new offered on any front in the storyline. One or two moments in the extra at the end were cute, but that's it. Then again, being cheesy and predictable is what yaoi normally stands for so at least it's staying on brand I guess? lol
This was shit from the start but the line
"Women are just tools to fund my lifestyle" was the end for me.
I know most yaoi readers are girls so the amount of good ratings for this is worrying.
