I reviewed the entire Sangetsusei series at length. Strange and Bright Nature Deity doesn't really miss a beat from Eastern and Little Nature Deity, other than the obvious: the new artist. Hirasaka's art isn't sketchy like Matsukura's which may be a minus in "fantastical-looking" but is definitely a plus in "lighthearted nature". The fairies continue to play pranks and eventually try to make friends with series deuteragonist Marisa (witch, magician, and youkai exterminator), It's quite funny and there's Gensokyo lore for those interested in that. Due to its silliness, people new to Touhou can probably be relatively at ease reading this.
