First-year high school student Minoru Suzuki, who resembles his late father like two drops of water, often sees visions of his mother's past as a high school student through the eyes of his father.

The premise is interesting, and it makes your heart race both from the sweetness (a high school boy who loves his mother in a familial way) AND the nervousness of it crossing the borderline due to overlapping memories from his dad's and puberty! Somewhere in the middle of the story though, I started to see the correlation on why MC keeps seeing those flashbacks and how it led him to "experience" his own story. The romantic and platonic love story both played out nicely all the way building up to the ending, which close the story in a sweet, melancholic way. You should be able to get the message at the ending on how he finally graduates from his mother-con lol. The female lead (do we call her a second FL?) is very interesting too! I love their interaction so much!
I guess the ecchi-ness is there but it's pretty subtle and author just have a love for butt lol.
This manga, by the author of Mysterious Girlfriend X, is just about as odd as that manga was. In this case, what we get is a fun and moving depiction of the confused feelings of adolescence. I've always looked for manga about real Japanese life, and this is one of the best.
The premise and the first half of the story really might turn off a lot of people and believe me it did the same to me as well. But there's actually a reason for this behavior. The boy was experiencing everything his father did in his childhood which is making his memories mess up with his father's thus the distasteful crush love started. The second half of the story however completely made a 180° jump and we were given Ninomae as the form of a medicine which would cure our Male lead from his weird complex. The story is worth reading and very enjoyable. The art work is especially one should enjoy reading. The love story which started rather slowly in the second half was unique, different, somewhat realistic and very wholesome. I repeat don't stop reading and continue. You will understand why he is doing this and how big of a character growth he will get in the last few chapters.
