Can be summarised as 'Billions' (HBO series) meets 'The Big Short' (the film), set in the Asian Financial Crisis, in the middle of a fantasy regressor dungeon setting. The main focus by far, however, is on the economic side of things.

Also worth noting the financial stuff is pretty heavy and not particularly clear or well explained, but overall pretty novel compared to other series in the currently very popular 'regressor' genre.

We don't know what the main character's occupation was before he regressed, but even if he was a financial professional, it's unrealistic for him to be able to recall a chain of specific dates for details leading up to major events. He even recalls the specific time of day for these details. And these things happened at least 10 years (possibly even 20) before he regressed.

This novel has a quick start with a slow burn.
MC regresses to his childhood and builds himself up statwise and financially.
The pacing is very good and based on reality. So far(Ch. 6) there is no supernatural experience besides the status window. It is grounded properly in reality.
I give it a 9/10
