So melancholic

A very brief and condensed one-shot related to terrorism. Now that's not something I read everyday. Considering the characters in this particular story I really wanted to root for them to be happy together, but with the theme presented it's likely to end up tragic most of the time anyway, which is so heartbreaking and sad here because I truly wished for a happy ending despite knowing it'd be impossible. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go away staying depressed for a while.

That was absolutely super (bitter)sweet!!! I sooo wanted more!
It's good to see a seme that doesn't jump at the chance to get their ways with the ukes! But still, Liam wasn't like those semes too gentle to actually make it sexy. No, he totally was sexy, but still respected Joe's space and their positions. This wouldn't be nearly as good if he had done something to Joe like he wanted, because then it wouldn't be so original - like it is! Also, Joe wouldn't fall for him so bad if he didn't leave him there all horny, hihihi =P
For some reason, even though it's a really short story, I could feel that Liam had really fallen for Joe, even more than Joe fell for him!

And Joe is also great! I adore ukes that aren't afraid of saying what they want! That makes him sooo hot! [I] would totally rape him - and I'm a girl! XD

The art style is also very good, really! With just a few scenes Matsuo-sensei made very captivating characters and they are drawn simple, but it's absolutely sexy, for some reason!

I love the last scene, it adds a sweetness that the whole sexiness of the rest of the story complemented!

I've been rather emotional lately, but this prickled and brought tears to my eyes.
I won't say much, other than it being a sad story.
In the end, there was no other way.
A hope that was. A hope that was shattered. That's life. ~

Note: I felt a sense of silly joy when I guessed what the word was...

Short but Sorrowful; Heartbreaking but Hopeful

This 16-page one-shot uses a crossword as the structure of its message. Joe and Liam, one a hostage, the other a captor with a cause, seem almost to be two versions of the same person: one is naieve, youthful and full of optimism; the other, hardened and experienced so as he cannot even say the word "love".

The story centers around a romantic idealism: humanity getting along with the over-simplified concept of "love". Bonus: It has about 4 pages of a slow-burning eroticism.

The art is extremely smoothed over; the details are small and purposeful. Flowing, simple lines for background, faces and bodies compliments the serious nature of the story. And the sad smile of Liam matched with the hopeful smile of Joe is brief, but not to be missed.
