Description
Once upon a time, there was a tribe that fought for the empire. They were feared by everyone. Their specialty was destruction and slaughter. They were called "kimera." Rin was one of them. This manga is off to a good start. It's hard to say more than that at such an early point in the manga. The annoying thing is that only twelve chapters have been scanlated (one chapter shy of finishing the second volume), although ninety chapters have been released in Chinese and there's no official translation. All the groups that pick it up quickly drop it for some unknown reason (well, the reason the first one dropped it is clear, but the rest, not so much).
So...

Okay, the story opens up with a group of soldiers fighting a fearsome humanoid monster who they kill.
They discover a child who the female 'Kimera' was protecting.
Years later, we learn that one of the soldiers took the baby as his own and named her Rin/Lin who has a calming singing voice and is, of course, quite beautiful(says the characters anyway) and raises her in the countryside after he deserts.
Started reading this mostly because we rarely get Seinen with a female lead and this sounded intriguing. I don't care much for the art but the story looks interesting enough.
It has the violence of Seinen and there's going to be drama and adventure for sure. I'm going to stick to this for the story and the female-lead. Hope it gets deeper soon. (Only 10 chapters scanlated so far).
I'm going to rate this high since it has so much potential and already has me engaged from the second chapter.
The romantic interest...yeah, this manga already has me smiling.
Not only do we have a BAMF!Heroine, who has just the right amount of Mary Sue characteristics, we pretty much know she's stronger than the male lead(and the guy isn't a wimp! He's a man! *gasp!* And not a jerk! *double gasp!*, with said male lead having a past of his own, experiencing trauma in the hands of one of the Kimera.
At least there isn't any unnecessary dragging of the drama over hiding her ancestry from people who are important to her(or will be important, anyway) and there isn't petty squabbling over things that could be easily solved with coming clean and actually talking, so, yeah, that part's a huge plus in my books. It's quick paced, suiting the action and all that.
Edit: Fudgesticks, it's getting really exciting and I'm getting seriously invested in this. Hope it will get updated soon.
