The two are classmates----

Higashi Haruichi, a high school student, is a second-generation religious man whose mother is devoted to a new religion.

One day, Haruichi is surprised to see his classmate Saihara Eishin, who is the “Lord of Light” at a meeting his mother was forced to take him to.

Eishin, whom Haruichi had never spoken to at school, was like a god here, worshipped without regard to his personality.

And that night, Haruichi witnesses Eishin single-handedly dragging a kerosene tank toward the religious facility--!

This was a strange encounter between Eishin, who had been driven physically and mentally by the adults around him, and Haruichi, who stood by him.
