This story isn't as popular as some of the mangaka's other stories, which is a shame because it has a lot of heart - and it's downright pleasant to read. I often forget that it's two volumes, because the story feels like a cohesive whole. Some of Fujiyama's stories veer a bit close to the "I went too far to prove my love" trope, but this one remarkably keeps the seme respectful about his feelings.(Elaborated on below the spoiler cut.) There's genuine respect between the two of them, even when some of their disagreements seem a bit silly or contrived. Their dynamic, altogether, feels pleasant and refreshing in a genre where so many stories are about two people badgering each other into some sort of makeshift romance.
This is honestly one of my favorite stories this mangaka has done. Light, enjoyable, romantic, and sweet. It's got an obligatory scene or two of steamy passion, but it's overall a subtle, almost innocent slow build romance. I also think this is among the nicest that Fujiyama's style has looked on the page; elegant, beautiful, but with more realistic facial proportions than some of the earlier stories. I really wish we could move on past the "I'm not gay, but.." trope but if you can tolerate that familiar staple of the genre, this is one of the nicest examples of it in action.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
There's a line of dialogue or two that veers close to the "I'm about to lose control" trope, because that's something this mangaka seems to have a tough time letting go of. But the seme never actually crosses that unforgivable line, and he never puts his love interest in genuine distress. This story remains remarkably mutual. There's no "I need to prove my love" scene, and there's no "it's too late, I'm losing control" moment that nearly severed my love for some of Fujiyama's other works.

it`s the best yaoi story i`ve read until now; you can see the characters and the story are really well thought. my heart squeezes when there`s a love scene between Takakage and Kouga *___* i love it.

brilliant

After reading tons of yaoi manga, it's not easy to find scenes you haven't seen before somewhere. But when a soft touch of hands between gorgeous bishies manages to make your heart skip a beat, you'll realize how Fuiyama Hyouta is a genius. it's the subtleness that the previous reviewer was talking about. showing the detail in the facial expressions from the characters, so that words become needless, makes this another Fujiyama-masterpiece. i wish there were much more yaoi like this (not the ones where it becomes ecchi in the first chapter -_-)

So far...
Classic Fujiyama - beautiful, subtle beginning. Somehow I am always drawn in so quickly and want to find out more about the characters Fujiyama creates.
