A spooky tale of the haunting of a school which takes place in Japan of the recent past. This kind of ghost story is universal, and translates well across cultures.
I found it easy to relate to the characters, especially the main character around whom the story is centered. She is working to unravel the mystery of the haunting in her school while trying to find others to believe her story. She is quickly caught up in a chain of events which could lead her to great danger.
I liked the art, though I'm not quite certain what to compare it to. Seems somewhat old school, though it is clean and at times beautiful. Most panels are very nice to look at, and they depict the events of the story in a clear, direct manner.
The plot is very well paced, and events take place in an order that makes sense. This is important because a badly plotted manga can ruin an otherwise good read. As the protagonist gets closer to the truth behind the haunting, she finds herself in enveloped by the mystery, and the potential peril to herself increases. Kudos to the author!
Highly recommended to fans of Horror, Mystery, Supernatural. Most manga fans should be able to appreciate the exceptional quality of this work, even if not all will enjoy the art as much as I.
