A novice female doctor brimming with curiosity and a young inspector team up to solve the medical mysteries inside the Chinese imperial palace.

19 year old novice doctor, Ri Suishu (Li Cui Zhu) happens upon the scene of the Censorate's* investigation of her town's pharmacy. As the owner of the pharmacy is about to be arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs that caused the empress to miscarry, Suishu saves him with her medical knowledge. A few days later, she suddenly receives an imperial order to enter into the inner palace. There, she meets her preceptor, Shika (Zi Xia), and the young inspector named Yuushou (Xi Xiao). From there, one by one Suishu solves the illness plaguing the emperor's consorts.
