Official English Translation

Although he is a talented modern dancer, Regis is plowing through a creative slump for his dance troupe’s Christmas performance. But, no matter what he does, Regis can’t perform to his perfectionist standards. Frustrated, Regis first lashes out at his dance partner and then seeks the bodily comfort of his step-brother, fellow dancer, roommate Yuui. Intertwined with Yuui’s life and body, can Regis find a release from his past and pain?

This volume also includes stories about members in Regis and Yuui’s dance troupe.

It's definitely different from usual yaoi, the idea, storytelling, plot, execution, even art. It was an interesting story and I guess I like it but I have a few complaints. The idea to write about modern ballet dancers were great but the execution is far from perfect. It's not a one story, I'd say it's a collection of one shots, related but with different main characters. That's why there's not enough space for characters to grow, there's too many occurrences packed in each and every story, sometimes things happen out of the blue and you have no clue why this happened or what happened later... it's like mangaka had an idea, put it in the story and suddenly decided to back off... how annoying. Anyway things are happening too fast and cause of that their relationships seem superficial. If only mangaka took the time to develop some events... it could have been a great story. It seems he was trying a bit too hard to make something profound and in the end it backfired.

I don't quite get it why this work have so many low votes, it's not that bad actually. There's rape (maybe that's why?) but... it's nothin unusual in yaoi world, moreover the whole story is dark and gloomy. All of the characters are disenchanted, burdened in some way, filled with sorrow. It's not necessarily a bad thing, unless you're looking for some vanilla romance. If you like ESUTO Emu works - give it a try, it has similar dark vibe.
