Momo Kaguya, 17 years old, works part time at a shrine. Though she appears to be just an ordinary high school girl at first glance, she is a miko-in-training whose job is to connect people with gods. Leaving her house, she spends her days training with Inari's divine messenger, Kouen.

One day, Momo's classmate reaches out to her about a mysterious incident. It ends up being the first case she solves alone. In the midst of taking a deep sigh of relief, she is summoned by a member of the main branch of the household. She is introduced to Shinonome Sora, who is in charge of community safety.
