Fun at first

For me it lost much of its interest around chap ~70, as the story changes dramatically:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
It goes from the MC being a very independent (and fun) rogue / treasure seeker / warrior, to the MC being a dumb submissive soldier.

Why is the MC taking these HUGE risks as a soldier?! He comes so close to death constantly as an 'elite soldier', and FOR WHAT? So a corrupt aristocracy can continue its expansionist wars? To help brutally enslave foreign populations?

It is actually frankly PATHETIC to read about the young MC who, because he never had any friends growing up, feels like the artificial friendships that he can finally cultivate in the army are his main motivation to do all this... Poor little murdering fiend just wants to feel popular amongst the cool guys, and he is willing to risk his life against impossible odds, over and over again, just so he can be a little bit less lonely at night...

Up to the point where the MC joins the army, he is sharp and independent, but once he joins, he becomes a stupid, easily manipulated moron looking for a truly pointless death. Where before he was so quick to see through peoples' scams, now he gets all stupidly emotional just because he was given a worthless shiny medal to 'decorate' him.

Before, he was makin' millions in total liberty with his exceptional skills, now he is just another dumb pawn for a massively corrupt empire (ie: the opposite of a meritocracy, so his honest efforts are wasted!).

This Novel is Hilarius, for real give it a try guys

– the MC “Shaar” because of the old man who raised him, does have a varied of funny worldviews, from believing that “Big Women” are the epitome of sexiness to thinking that a man`s “Morning Wood” is the pride of man
– But don`t get confused he is realy strong, all thx to the training the old man gave him and the hellish place he grow up
– There is loots of random humor like the time he defeated a mighty thunder wolf with a stick to the a$$

So i could spoil the (fun) stuff he does, because he is poor like a beggar and trying to get some cash but it`s more fun if you read the novel yourself.
