After losing her beloved grandparents, Cecile is left all alone. The only thing that gave her purpose was her job as a caretaker for the giant birds known as Ranphors, but after being falsely accused, she is dismissed from the ranch. In search of a new job, Cecile makes her way to the remote Oaklance Ranch, where she is welcomed by the kind-hearted ranch owner Oscar—and the Ranphors themselves. In this new land, Cecile’s lonely life slowly begins to regain warmth and color.
