Description

From MangaProject:

Fuuko is a happy and cheerful girl. One day, two cousins, Daiya and Ichi, move into the apartment upstairs. Cold Ichi and mischievous Daiya gave a very bad first impression! All three are going to the same school as well! How will Fuuko's high school life turn out?

Note: Based on the manga, a TV-Drama was aired by the name "Love Buffet."

If I could describe the overall quality of this series in one word, it would be "horrid." If I wanted to exert myself and up the word count to two, they would be "utterly horrid."

The heroine is a fickle, whiny waste of oxygen who cries at the drop of a hat--the type of person who, should you happen to know him or her in real life, you'd have the constant and undeniable urge to push into oncoming traffic--and the plot begins to drag unbearably around ten or so volumes.

I consider myself quite well-versed in the shoujo/romance genre and can handle my fair share of angst and drama, but I have never hated any series so much as I have utterly loathed this one. I'm of half a mind to write the mangaka and demand compensation for the amount of time I wasted reading it.

Anyone with any measurable amount of emotional maturity would be well-advised to stay far, far away from this manga.

Yes, like what I've just said. It WAS good, amazing, funny, adorable and I was TOTALLY in love with it!

I was so in love with Ichi. He was such a sweet, gentle guy to Fuuko when she was dumped by Daiya, a guy who didn't know what love was. Actually, the story should have ended with a happy ending that Fuuko and Ichi being with together. But.. he then later met his ex-girlfriend. He became absolutely indecisive! Ugh, maybe the mangaka had already planned THIS incident to happen from the very beginning.. cos she put the mug which Ichi's ex-girlfriend gave him in the first chapter. That was totally NOT a good idea.

But I still love this series because of Ichi.. TT____TT
I really love him.. maybe I'll reread this manga someday.

Depends on which guy you like the most

I think that some people reading shoujo manga pick they guy they like the most and hope the main female will pick him, too. Fuuko picks the guy who suits her the best. Since most readers are like NOT Fuuko, most people would not make her choice. Cat Street had the same issue. Lead made the right choice---for herself.

I don't think there has ever been a manga that has taken me on a roller coaster ride with my emotions like this one has. I got so sucked into the story. I don't know..maybe it's cause I can relate to it? I mean a guy having feelings for you and then it all ending so fast. Anyway, I haven't finished it yet, I'm only on vol 12 but I really, really, liked Ichi and Fuuko. The mangaka built up the story between them so well! There was really something special between the two that Daiya and Fuuko just don't seem to have. I really think that Ichi and Fuuko should have just gotten together and the story should have ended right there. But that annoying woman had to come along...uggh. Oh well. It's better that Ichi didn't hurt Fuuko while going out with her. I don't know who she'll end up with but I can't stand her ending up with Ichi who said her tears are more painful anymore. A lot of people may not like the main character but I do. I admire her for speaking her mind and being able to realize the difference between love and pity and voicing out her feelings when she doesn't want the guy she likes to stop seeing a woman. Most shoujo heroines are too dumb to do that. Fuuko may be a bit of an idiot sometimes...but she's real. I mean..sometimes..who isn't an idiot in love? We all love. and we all get hurt. at least once in our lives. If it hasn't happened yet, it will. I love this manga for being able to portray how much liking someone can hurt effectively.That being said, I think people who have been hurt will definitely be able to relate to this manga more and appreciate its beauty.

it drags too much...i dont' mind the girl being indecisive but sometimes i think it's just ridiculous........suddenly, Daychi breaks up with her cuz being with her make him hates himeself...wut is that?!?!
i think the girl should confess and not wait unitl the last minute.......
and the ending...........wut is that.........and drag so long...........at least wrap it decently

i love this manga sooo much........daiya is sooo cool and cute!!!......

who will fuuko end with??....... is it daiya or ichi??..... if you choose ichi, you're wrong!....... cuz she will end with DAIYA!!!.... hehehe...... theres a lot lot of twist in this manga... and the heroine here is such a "cry baby"....... i love the love triangle here...... ^_^

Would have rated it higher if not for Ichi and his stupid, stupid thing

with that despicable woman.

I mean, that was so depressing.

I like Daiya and all, and I LOVE him and Fuuko, but seriously, those parts where she was building Ichi/Fuuko up just gave me CHILLS 'cause they had so much chemistry! And POOF! It just goes away by that stupid woman interfering. REALLY disappointing. Honestly. I couldn't handle it after that, 'cause I can't stand seeing Ichi sad.../hugs. Well, I read up to the part where she got with Diaya and stopped. There's my happy ending, don't need more drama kthxbai.

One thing, though. The art is GORGEOUS. I hated it at first, because I judge a book by a cover. But I couldn't stop reading, and the art just got better and better. Fuuko ends up as pretty as heck. And yeah, Daiya and Ichi get hotter as well. /drool

The crying moments are really emotional, too. Even though Fuuko's your typical shoujo herione, when she cries, you can actually feel the emotion instead of it just being like, "Oh my god. What a crybaby." So yeah. I liked that.

I recommend it to those who love drama that lasts forever.

As the story progresses, you are put into a whirlwind of "I don't know who I love/like more! Ichi or Daiya? I don't know! I love both of them!" Basically, Fuuko is too much of a damn indecisive shoujo heroine. Indecisiveness at it's worse. I have NOT read the ending (seeing as how I dropped this) but I am disappointed with who she chooses. I never liked both of those cousins to begin with... It's not so much I hated the ending but it's that the story is so FREAKIN' long (20-ish volumes) and then for Fuuko to just choose THAT. What is the whole point. It took her like 20 or so vloumes to forget a freakin' person... ARGH.

I used to really like this when i started reading it. The drawings were very cute.
But then the love triangle gets dragged out, and the girl becomes annoying. Don't build up so much intensity with one guy and then throw some tragic thing in that makes her go to the other guy..well i guess its fine because the author probably intended to make us cry.. but its just so obviously cliche!

When you think about it, this manga revolves entirely around the main character's love triangle. Its like there's nothing else happening in their life....

The manga was really good until about the 13th volume. But after that in just went downhill in my humble opinion. The heroine just turned out to be really stupid. And I really liked her until that 13th volume. After that she just got kind of annoying. It's a classic shoujo manga with a tiny twist to it.
