Description

She's like a eternal teenager for most of the story. She never saw him as her son but she did raise him.. He never called her mother but she was always his family. It's strange. I do like the fact that he left to become king so that there's time for the two of them to grow apart and miss each other. If it's true that he (the ML) is the reincarnated former lover to the REAL evil witch, then maybe I can buy into this story. As of right now, I'm still not sure.
It's been more than 6 months since the last chapter was published so I don't know if this story has been dropped or not but it feels like it has been. Which kinda sucks, I guess.

I like the characters. The fl is funny and the ml is sweet, I enjoy their mother & son relationship, it is cute. There is a plot, but it’s not the main point of this serie so the pace is rather slow. I didn’t mind though, it could have been a great slice of life. However after the time skip it took a turn. I see where this is going now and I’m disappointed.
The romance is troubling. I don’t know what to think about a relationship between a teenager and a 400yo woman who brought him up. He probably won’t act on it until he’s an adult but still. He was really young when she took him in (7yo) and I just don’t like it. If he arrived when he was older it would have been better, I wouldn’t have minded him feeling attracted to her that much. But dude, aside from the age gap, she was the one to raise you so why would she not see you as a kid ? However, given the direction of the story, it seems like she will return his feelings and fall in love with him too. I don’t know how it will happen but it’s a shame. Especially since there is absolutely no chemistry. The whole thing bothers me.
Anyway, the romance is not for me, so I don’t think I will continue reading it.
The art is beautiful though.

Dropped ch.31
The first bunch of chapters were genuinely fantastic, but from a timeskip the story was getting weird... So I had to look at the spoilers out of concern... I'm sure you can guess why...
I don't think I've ever been more pissed off reading spoilers since Usagi Drop... There's no saving this series. Fucking gross.

The author had the idea 'Lets take a wholesome story with a 400 year old reluctant mum taking care of an unloved orphan from the age of 7... and turn them into the end game couple...'
