Shizuka, a female police officer whose husband, a former police officer, committed suicide under mysterious circumstances, left the crime scene to raise her young son, Hikaru, on her own while doubting the truth.

After being introduced to her by her mentor, she becomes involved with a department called the Crime Victim Support Office. Literally, the mission of this department, which strives to provide psychological care to victims, is far removed from the "common sense" she has cultivated up until now! The days of struggle for Shizuka, a novice support worker with a straightforward sense of justice and a heart of compassion for others, are about to begin!
