I like this manga and the art is stunning. The only thing that bothers me is the kid’s father. He’s pretty much annoying and, come on, no need to move down to earth to be with his son. Let him have his freedom.

the "father" when he clearly has a different father weirded me out a lot - but ither then that it was pretty cute, would have liked to see some more dragon forms - they were really pretty
and i wanted something to happen between the real dad and the friend... they were a good combo

The Invisible Man

I only want to talk about the oneshot because that's a concept i've never seen before. The mangaka picked a very creative metaphor. She made Ikuo view Mikoto as an "invisible" man.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Ikuo starts to isolate himself because of Mikoto's confession and began to completely ignore his best friend, hence why he called him invisible. It's quite sad, but the ending had me smiling.
The main story is very silly and cute. It's completely different than what Ike-sensei usually writes and she did a nice job with it. It's nothing special though.

The main story was pretty dumb, and the one shot was not sweet at all! It was actually pretty angst u and open ended. Personally, I don't think they would have gotten together.

The first story was very cute and I did like it but what really sold me on this manga was the one shot, After school with the invisible man, it was really great and I loved the whole idea of only seeing the bike. I was very creative and I loved the ending to it as well.

Something different from usual Ike Reibun - funny, silly, light, cute love story.

It is nice to see a work that is different from usual style of the mangaka, this time it went very well. It's a nice, warm love story, slightly supernatural, this time without any smut, pain, blood, revenge or forcing anybody to anything. The characters are kind and good-hearted. Also there's more conversations between characters than usual but the plot line isn't complicated at all, I mean the story doesn't deal with any serious problem. I like the Edo period motive in here. Thankfully the art is as good as always, the same goes for hot graphic sex scenes.

In short - it was entertaining, a bit silly love story with very good art.

too crazy but nice

This book is insane, haha. The plot was super crazy but I adored the characters. Little Tsuno is so cute and everyone was hilarious. I enjoyed it for the craziness but the eerie romance was also sweet, especially when Tsuno was still a child. I felt there was such heartwarming moments. That being said, of course, there's no shota in this. The smut is up to Reibun's standards, very hot and heavy and totally legal (sort of, probably) haha.

The oneshot was unbelievably sweet. It has nothing to do with the main story (character-wise, plot-wise, world-wise, you name it). Still, it's endearing and refreshing. Really original on the author's part too. On that alone I give this an 8.

Tsuno is so cute when he's a kid!! I like the story since it's pretty interesting and it's well developed as well! The oneshot is kinda cute too! I mean, during the first part of the story, it's so interesting to see that Mikoto looks like he's really invisible. It's cool! Very nice story indeed~

It's an easy read in Japanese, turns out I was almost spot on when I checked how someone else translated it.

It's also the tamest of Ike's work by far. Don't get me wrong, though, Ike's tame is still graphic. The action is only three or four pages, but she knows how to draw a man. If you don't like the old "orphan falls in love with foster" archetype, you might want to skip it, though it's done so well here that I don't think it would hurt to read it.

As a side note, the kid in the oneshot looks EXACTLY like Konomi from Not Equal. I know a lot of authors draw similar characters, but come on. He has the same glasses and "puppy look" on his face, I almost thought it was him.

The art is really beautiful, and the fantasy is really nice and adds a romantic, historical feel. And there are dragons! Tsuno makes such a cute dragon, lol. I really love Ike Reibun's work- this one has a great combination of humor, and romance, beautiful art, and just general yaoi goodness, haha. Definitely recommended! I just wish it was a little longer- this is pretty unique, and I was really lured in by its plot and setting. Overall a great manga biggrin
