...at least those that can be answered.
Reading most of the other comments, I feel somewhat obligued to comment on this one.
First of all, this manga brings up some serious, essential and damn underrated points on society.
basically the domestic rape scene and some subconscious sexism as in the whole make-up thingie
These two issues are at least common; the latter isn't just that but influencing everyone. There's a reason why the models in the playboy mag aren't 1 meter 60 / 120 kg; there's a reason for me getting myself some alcohol to get wasted when I'm down and for my female friends meeting up and discussing problems when they're down.
To quote the forums, a man's got to be:
-Taller than me
-Older than me
-Protective (but not controlling)
-Masculine and dominant voice

While it's a major problem, making (thanks to parent's raising their kids accordingly) half of mankind at least act weak; it's so common, so basic to our personalities, many (especcially young) people don't like to see it.
It's almost impossible to convince people of your thoughts on questions they don't ask themselves, so with topics like these, it's best to make people aware of them. Anything else would be overdone and even more ineffective.
The question on resolving from the said problems is: "how to cope with it".
And that, to get back to the manga, is answered. Woman don't need to act manly they're strong in their own way, got possibilities a guy doesn't have etc. This is expressed a bit bluntly, but whatever. So it's:
From a female perspective: you can life happily in society as long as you know your strength and limits, but you can't run away from your gender.
From a male's perspective it's actually a call to not be macho etc.
The male main char doesn't find love and happiness in the end. (which at least borders bluntliness on a cheap level imo)
More the author couldn't do though, as stated before and just raising these issues takes enough "balls" (...) already. So this manga is at the very least a worthy contribution to a not-really-discussed problem - good if you aren't after cheap romance.
