This was surprisingly deep, for something that looked like pure smut. The characters personalities and emotions are well fleshed, the story flows well and also, there a lot of smut. For a one volume story, the story is well organised, neither to rushed or diluted.
This needs to be better rated!

This goes down to my "no matter how much I've read it, I'll never get bored of it" list. When I first saw this, I was hestitant to read it because I don't like a girl getting involved, but I'd came to love it so much and I never expected that it was a really great story.

I got into this manga with next to zero expectations at all, which kinda knocked me over with how much it totally surpassed them. Characters were way more fleshed out than I could've hoped for especially in a story of this nature; the plot progression actually makes sense and all events that occurred actually fall in line with each character's personality and motives and backstory. There wasn't an instance that made me roll my eyes or wince at how absurd / predictable it is, and the drama although abundant didn't get to the point where it feels like too much. I'm sure some people might have problems with the plot and how frustrating the main dudes' decisions could be, but I personally didn't mind it because the execution was persuasive enough to smooth it out and make it believable.
Overall this was definitely the most decent Hinako work I've read so far (not that I've read that many from her lol but anywayy) 😬

So that was... Hunh.
Okay, so you kind of go into it expecting it to be trashy, and it pretty much is for the first part.
Casual misogyny too. Okay. Whatever, I moved on, because I had low expectations going into this to begin with.

Then shit gets kinda real? lol. Though I would've preferred

Akanishi to have developed feelings through a bit more hoops too, shit surprisingly goes pretty deep and gets pretty well fleshed out. So it turned out actually pretty pleasant, and the later chapters are actually pretty magical in some places and weak in others.

The 8 rating is the book at its best, and is pretty generous. 4 at its worst. Tbh there really was no reason for the scene where Ryou goes

get himself messed up. I mean yes, it was hot, but it felt so meaningless after the fact that it kind of took away the magic. It would've been more effective if Akanishi ! had actually went to get himself a girlfriend and hadn't realized his feelings either at that point.

People would probably prefer this without the characters freaking out either about their own orientation, but tbh that was a small bummer for me lol. Seeing that kind of internal turmoil is fun for me~ Also it feels so unrealistic... for me, it's distracting, but it's a preference thing.

Another good point is Akanishi trying to develop as a person without being so highly overly possessive, too. No fostering co-dependency, indeed. That's another thing this book has going for it in terms of character depth and development.

The expressions are definitely the highlight of this book. Some of the erotic panels, sure, looked quite damn good, while others were "yikes no thanks" (I'm getting Shungiku flashbacks here sometimes lol). I'm not particularly inclined towards smut in the first place, actually. But yes, the EXPRESSIONS. WERE SO GOOD. Honestly yeah seeing all of Ryou's faces of vexation, yearning, and pain... A+ (ok hand)

So yeah, surprisingly more depth than expected! Kinda worth reading, I guess, but not the best. I love this kind of trope because it seems so superfluous but then sometimes ends up having more depth than a lot of things, lol. It was a pleasant surprise!

I Prefer Girls Who Aren't Noisy About Condoms and Stuff

... the uke literally says this like twice or three times I believe. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

This manga is extremely well paced and the art is good. You expect it to be pure smut because of the premise and title but it is not. There's a shocking amount of psychological content in here. Spoiler but let me point out:

It explains the backstory of why the two characters are so sexual as well through their childhoods. It tackles hebephilia and dysfunctional cheating parents to explain why the seme and uke are so oversexed and crazy. We are getting character development in a BL manga about threesomes and casual sex??

It makes a good excuse for the "I'm not gay I just like gay sex" yaoi trope. They start out having threesomes with women (and then discarding them from their lives) and it evolves into a casual sex relationship between them because they're so addicted to sex. It creates this perfect fantasy atmosphere so the female reader can apply herself to the story while also creating this realistic story that's not just about threesomes and f**king. No. It's basically a psychoanalytic piece about two sexually traumatized boys who become fuccboi sex addicted pieces of sh*t because of trauma and one of them gets jealous because he somehow caught feels.

And the plot twist drama about what happens to the seme romantically as well really pulls the story even more. Highly recommend.
