This manga is deeply psychological. It brings up what I could only imagine are the feelings that really do go into ones head if they are actually romantically in love with their own mother. It doesn't brush away and make things seem okay.
I honestly thought it was interesting just how much the MC hates herself for her feelings and tries so hard to change it and distract herself with other people and is very pained with how she feels.
The mom is also not one dimensional and has many layers to her as well... Past trauma, her husband's death and her own struggles within herself and how she feels about her daughter wanting her and dealing with her morals. It didnt make light about how the MC and her mom really are related. Random memories keep popping up throughout the manga of the mother and daughter in there younger days having fond memories of a mom and her child. And at times it can even be crushing.
One would think it would stop at that. Most psychological manga does, and sometimes it can just end up being a jumbled mess of a story with to many layers and not enough development. But not with this story. In this story, there is not only phycological moments, but sweet moments, kind moments, sexy moments, and moments where I just lost myself in the excitment about what I was reading.
This is the first mother/daughter non-hentai story I have ever read, and honestly even though it's a little confusing, I think I really liked it.
Maybe it's because of the way it was written, or how it didnt diminish a taboo subject? Whatever it was, it was pulled off really well for being such a sensitive topic. Please give it a try if you want to try something unique and different to the norm.
I love my unconventional romance. This manga has one of the wildest premises yet. Even though the MomXChild is a common trope in Hentai, it basically hasn’t been done in normal manga. And it’s also Yuri!
I’ll just say it straight, I am not a fan of incest. I just personally find it kind of disgusting. However, I enjoy when a manga explores taboo subjects and this manga scratches that itch perfectly. It’s a wild ride on the emotional and moral roller coaster when you read this manga.
The heavy subject of this manga is offset by some cute and spicy Yuri moments that look wholesome, but when you think about it they are morally thought provoking.
I will give a warning, there is a scene where the MC is being what can be considered raped. However, the character that is doing the sexual coercion stops it before it becomes full on capital R rape. She realizes what she is doing and stops herself. This scene only adds to the spicy taboo that is this manga.
In conclusion, this manga will have you questioning yourself but the time you reach the most current chapter. It’s a good read. I recommend you read it and see for yourself what this cute Yuri relationship means to you.
Or
You may not think about it as deeply as I have and just enjoy the romance.
