First, I will say do not trust that idiot troll. However, that should be self-explanatory. Second, I will say that I'm not going to repeat the generals of the story, as the first review did a very good job of that. I'm simply going to explain my opinion of this series.
I was drawn into this manga by its interesting premise, as I'm sure just about everyone else was, and soon fell in love with this series. As I read further, I was delighted by its nonsensical humor, however, I was slightly (only slightly) disappointed by its apparent episodic nature. It seemed to be setting the stage for something great, and I read every chapter thinking "is there going to be a story arc now?"
Yes there is. Although it does take a while to get going, Reborn gets even crazier than you thought imaginable from reading the introduction stuff. Surprisingly, the "real" fighting that appears is extremely well done; something I was not initially expecting, as I was reading mainly for the humor and satisfaction of seeing a Mafia hitman infant shooting people. Even as the story gets darker, it still retains its element of humor, that blends in perfectly.
The characters are also a joy to behold, each brimming with their own quirks and originality. Bright, cheerful, and deranged, they are truly standouts.
I would recommend this series to anyone looking for a good laugh, engaging action sequences, and a premise that hasn't been touched on before. This series is easily one of the best serialized in Jump, and it is well worth reading through the long episodic-yet-entertaining initial exposition.
