Description

Tsuna comes home one day, only to be greeted by a little baby mafioso who apparently is his new home tutor. His job is to guide Tsuna into his role as the 10th Boss of the Vongola mafia family. With the help of all his new friends and an array of special items such as the "Dying Will Bullet", he might just be able to do it.

This manga is for stupid people. I don't even want to get into how bad it is. One of the antagonists uses black holes and the protagonist is able to escape using combustion. The artwork is somewhat good but the characters are one dimensional and the combat system is like a monster that keeps mutating. It started off with someone needing the person to shoot them in the head with a special bullet and now it has progressed to needing certain artifacts ect. This manga is so incredibly bad.

I enjoyed the beginning quite a bit, it was all cute and cool with the mafia stuff and cute little animals, etc etc. but later on they all become some crazy fighters with insane superpowers which just seems to have stretched the manga's reality a little too much.

Also, the moment each of the characters had a pet, that's when i decided to stop because I thought it just becomes another pokemon show... except with much more intense battles and great artwork - one of the bests around I'd say.

Anyhows - I've more or less dropped this from my reading list - just not my cup of tea 😉

I have mixed feelings about this manga, on one hand I really liked it and the whole story but I got bored with the whole set up of someone strong coming along one on one fights then another group of strong people come along. But I read a random chapter today and it made me want to pick it up again despite the plot hasn't really changed. Plus the babies are really annoying.. so I would probably rate this about 6/10 but I haven't read it in a while.

Reborn had such high ratings along side already famous series like naruto, OP, bleach, etc.
One thing I'm amazed is how I was so close to dropping this manga that I wondered why everyone liked it so much. The exciting part starts from chapter 64ish, when Muruko, the first villain

who eventually becomes one of the 7 guardians appears.
Vol 1 - 7 were...kind of introducing the characters and how Tsuna's mafia family grows bigger. Supposedly, those were meant to be hilarious scenarios but I didn't find them funny.
And I promise you later on in the series, it gets SO MUCH BETTER.

...just another shounen series. really. the type where it's basically one on one matches against chosen opponents, with a somewhat obscure excuse for a plot to explain exactly WHY they're battling. and yes, I've read around 300 chapters of this, so I know what I'm talking about =_= if you're looking for another flashy shounen manga, then this is for you! If you're looking for something with an actual well written plot, please head over to Fullmetal Alchemist =)

okay,i know it was a lame subject title,but please bear with me.
i knew reborn because of the anime. i did not watch the 20 + episode,well,coz it made me bored. but when someone told me mukuro showed up and made the series exciting,i decided to give it a shot.
Ever since that day I have been patient to follow reborn! and I also started reading the manga in the time of Xanxus (chapter 90) and reborn has been running in my mind ever since.

Yes,tsuna is a stereotype of a weak willed boy,but when he goes to his hyper mode,i am impressed.
but NO character development? (i mean, you've fought so many,traveled to the future and saw yourself as vongola decimo,and the current chapter,still insists TO NOT BE decimo. oh great. that just sucks.)

Also,the mangaka making use of the different elements was awesome.giving spotlight to the major characters was nice,as to what their past are,etc. (but it's a shonen manga,so that is to be expected)..
the art and the story,as time passed, improved (but i did not like the shimon arc..the vongola gears was quite good, but that was it).
i am dissapointed with the arcobaleno ending (wtf, i was expecting a bigger battle than tsuna and byakuran)
if it gets lame, i'm dropping this manga. regardless of the hot bishies.

I would say you should start with the anime first if you're looking for a light hearted and warm show and then start with the manga.
The manga itself is also entertaining and I think that's the best thing about Reborn!
A lot of the comments already say what there is to say about what's good and bad and I have to agree with both.
Negatives: can get repetitive. Can be annoying. The main character can get on your nerves, not because of his wimpy attitude but his 'switch' from being wimpy to fearless in one split second. Not to mention his weird, hypocritical sense of morals. And the fact that this manga teaches you that if you suddenly obtain power from gadgets you have a God-given right to act tough. Adding to that is the SEXISM that exists here and in every other Shounen. I mean Kyoko and Haru??!! wth?? and all the 'tough' girls aren't even tough, they are just annoying. It's trying to imply that women are some Rapunzel's waiting to be saved by a guy. i don't understand, all the guys have various personalities and yet all the women have love on their minds. Plus, all the characters apparently are good-looking and that's just shallow.
BUT despite these shortcomings its a pretty good Shounen. Depends on your level of tolerance.

Mafia? give me one good reason why this is a mafia manga!! I enjoyed the characters and the story, but after the future arc, I am pretty over this series and I'm happy to pretend its over. I wanted to see Gokudera use dynamite and lambo kick ass as a 25 year old. Since I can't anymore and since Tsuna seems to be either a total gohan super saiyan 2 clone, or a shinji clone, I've had enough of it.

A manga you should read. The beginning is somewhat slow, but the humor at the beginning will keep you entertained. Once Tsuna starts getting his family together with the help of Reborn (that awesome baby assassin-man I bet he's going to be fine looking when he grow up...but he's so cute right now >.<)...I digress, but the point is you see this wimpy little dewb grow into a somewhat less wimpy kid... yeah he grow stronger as well-that is with the help of reborn and the Vongola Family!

Okay, so I'm one of those stubborn people who won't give up a series once they're far in. With that said, I do like Reborn, but there is one thing that irks me: Reborn is pretty much the definition of a shounen. I mean, after Tsuna and co. defeats one tough guy, there appears to be an even tougher guy following and so on.
However, the art is nice and the characters are adorable at times (and it has a nice selection of doujinshi... ;;>w>)
Nya~ I would recommend this series to someone who has patience because it is a frustrating series in the beginning.
Oh, and Reborn does kinda grow on you, so, yeah. :3
