Not quite what i waited for all these years

This long elusive one shot is only his second work right after the superior and award winning Futatabi.
I waited for a long time to read Noa but i frankly expected more form the master as his short is better in terms of art, characterization and content. Especially the the themes of Noa are a bit of a mess and the whole story is slightly forced. The Mad Max spirit is noticeable and welcomed as i would have read a few more chapters regardless of the author but the narrative feels vastly incomplete and slightly amateurish.
The half cooked religious metaphor at the end and the forced nudity and gore make me reconsider a bit.
A re-master of Noa isn´t high on my wish list but every real Berserker need to read it of course as it is important to know your roots. Just expect no big revelations. Gigantomakhia / Futatabi (both are a 8/10) which i also reviewed and the comparable Mad Max 2 should be checked out first and his main work is the best comic there is. 'Nuff Said!

i like the way it developed as there is no set course it could take. the characters are all mysterious in their own way, if berserk is not done this could be a long running series too, seems interesting. a good post apocalyptic story.
