Terrible writing

It was really hard to read. The story has an official translation, so I assume it's not a problem with the language abilities of the translator which sometimes make stories incomprehensible, but the actual author. The characters tend to just sprout out word in conversations that don't make any sense. They say 'I love you, don't leave me' followed by 'I never want to see you again' without any reason. Their conversations really don't make any sense. It's really disappointing.

I was interested at first because I haven't seen a plot in BL before where one of the main characters just cuts ties with their friend when they confess to them/realise their feelings and then still end up together but honestly, the story afterwards is really really bad. It's impossible to understand why GuBao even fell in love with Pei Ting and Pei Ting is suddenly acting like a douchebag and so out of character.

Frustrating story

This is like 2 stories in one. The first half is great super sweet…and then we get thrown a frustrating curve ball out of nowhere where all of a sudden large misunderstandings happen and don’t get resolved until the very end…

The misunderstandings that happened don’t really match with the main story line. It’s like the author couldn’t make up his mind what type of story to write. spoilers

MC has a childish personality up to this point and ML had accepted it then all of a sudden it’s a major reason to be fed up with him.
All of a sudden no one in the ML circle of friends can tolerate MC telling him they don’t deserve him
ML stalks MC (literally for years) and this is how he knows everything about him…EXCEPT for one of the reason for their major misunderstandings are all related to a friend of the MC who pretended to be engaged to him for the sake of a dying family member and then the MC was helping that friend out with a pregnancy that somehow the ML pinned on him. Even when the MC tells him the truth about this all of a sudden the ML doesn’t care anymore
the ML gets engaged without telling the MC anything
the person engaged to the ML is lesbian and was also doing the engagement for show for family but calls it off and meets with MC to explain. She even calls ML in front of MC but ML tells both of him he’s done that he doesn’t care anymore
the ML openly tells MC and former fiancé he still loves MC but is fed up with him (when talking alone with former fiancé ML tells her this too and says this is why what his uncle Pei requests of him (see bullet below) he doesn’t consider blackmail be he independently and doesn’t want to be with him anyway and doesn’t care even if he still loves him)
(up to this point) there is one conversation between the ML and his former fiancé who is also his friend and works with him that his Uncle Pei in exchange for helping the ML made the ML leave the MC. The former fiancé even question saying are you being blackmailed and the ML was like nope I’m done with him anyway…

Story dropped at chapter 76. I’ll come back once it’s finished to binge series and then give it a second chance.

UPDATE- I came back to binge the story after it finished at chapter 82 and I have to say the ending is really sloppy and my rating and review has not changed. I feel like if the author would have skipped the entire I don’t want to be with you and I’m sick of you arc and gone straight into these last chapters. It would’ve been a much better story however, I still find it unbelievable that we go from an unrequited love fluffy story where there is a happy couple together of the main characters to a I’m sick of you and don’t want to be with you story to a I change my mind let’s love each other anyway story….

I don’t recommend even for the first fluffy half at this point

first i found this manhua and go read the novel, damn

so actually from 101 chapter? half first is so dreamy, fluffy and adorable kind of story make you smile and scream from happiness and half to end is angstt, lot misunderstanding and hurt moment for both character, and i agree that part its lil bit frustating, damn I'm not even expect that will escalated quickly cry but in the end, finally huft, they both can be together again after lot things happen, and good ending tbh, but the sweet moment in the end is very shorttt, i hope there's more... yeah this is very rollercoaster ride actually damn but i love this, and need extra chapter to see their sweet moment in their marriage and honeymoon and life as husbands i actually love this

Largely frustrating story about unrequited love.

[Edit] Finished the story but it's one of those drama that barely makes sense, where character is acting stupid and the plot has hole the size of the moon.

I do not recommend, there's so much better reads out there
