I mean, the action was enough to keep me reading, but I started reading this in 2017, and they take too many breaks. I mean, it's a monthly manga, and they're milking it too much with fillers. Man important details are lost because the author releases them in interviews or even decides to contradict himself (for example he delays of death or adds a side-chapter based on his discarded picures ...).

The quality is still great, but I dislike how many unnecessary elements are being added (the surviving dragon that attacked Leonica out of nowhere, slime constantly being enslaved, making quimera weak or strong arbitrarily, etc.). All these are examples of places where they could've advanced the plot, developed less-seen characters, or just added a random filler ... they usually bring back already-finished plots and don't add anything new. Just to leave us with a random flashback or an incoherent scene of the badies.

I mean, that isn't enough to keep me interested, especially when half the action panels are technique names and barely show continuity in the action. For example, Ragna gets a hole blown on him, and then he is attacking with a different background. Did he dodge or parry? Did he regenerate?. With Kamui, fights started having grander and grander techniques without conveying what the characters were doing properly. I mean, I liked them, but Ragnas techniques were supposed to be precise and the kind of stuff someone fighting without support would do.

Chap 55 is great!!!

The story after a few chapters just goes nowhere.

This manga is alright, not too groundbreaking but alright. I have some distastes,
1. The crismon dragon, i dont like how we are able to see into his/her thoughts, cause every time we do it just them being a prick about everyone around them and how they will be able to manipulate everyone
Second, i dont like how the dragons are serving "god" that is to cliché, like could it not been god, but instead a higher power, because if they said that, it qould feel more mysterious.
There are clichés, but they dont take away from the story i believe

It was god at the beginning but then it got worse more you keep reading. Once he gets to the no arms girl then it just gets bad and the chapters get way shorter.

This is a good example of cliche done right! You got a bad guy(s) out to rid the world of humans and a good guy who is here to stop them, along with a borderline obsession to destroy the enemy. This is a good example of a manga that doesn't need to be groundbreaking to still be very good story. The action scenes are dope but the build up really sets the story and makes those action moments that much worth it. Love the way the author tries to get in the mind of the characters.

I feel like the setting and action reminds me of Claymore, but the characters and story remind me of Tokyo Ghoul. It's kinda like if you mixed them and made it more shounen.
