No surprises here. Han Yu-Rang terrorizes humanity yet again with another one of her God-awful, mass-produced manhwa pulps. MBIAV started out well enough, a cliché storm, to be sure, but at least an entertaining read. Then, Yu-Rang opened her Pandora's Box of reused plots, characters, faces, and other assorted tropes, and it all went to hell in a handbag (not like I was expecting anything less from her, though). What originally appeared to be heading in the shounen-ai direction quickly became some weird, gender bender, body-snatching, character-derailing transgender crap about a psychotic, kinky vampire chick who uses her son's body to exact revenge by spreading her legs... or something like that. It got pretty damn confusing around that part. And, you know, it wasn't even a legit transgender story that it turned into, either, which sort of killed any hope it may still have had at decency.
Okay, I get that Kkonnim is trying to make a quick buck by pumping out this garbage like babies in a field for the general public to brainlessly consume, but why is it that all of their "authors'" stories end up in some sort of freaky, surrealistic funk wherein sharks are jumped for sport and plot and character are thrown to the dogs? Honestly, it's worse than a Korean drama and yet nowhere near as exciting.
My advice to anyone considering this manhwa: Don't invest time in this craptastic series or in any Han Yu Rang/Hwang Miri/whatever other fake name Kkonnim comes up with to market their assembly line comics under; you’ll just be disappointed in the end that you wasted time reading such tripe. I wish groups would stop scanlating these insults to manhwa and pick up some decent series instead. These puppies are the biggest scams in the comic industry.
