Description
In 1939, Johann Imhoff is a young soldat-soldier stationed in Gefangis prison in rural East Berlin. His assigned mission is to guard and translate for Herr Walburg Himmel, a renown German author imprisoned for writing controversial popular novels and sodomy. However, when Himmel's traumatic past unravels itself before Johann's eyes, he struggles to keep his own emotional baggage at bay while maintaining his loyalty to the Fatherland.
