So normally I don't much care for stories with a slow romance. It often feels like the author is just trying to stretch out the storyas much as possible. Here however the slow romance works for me, since the two characters slowly learn from each other and mature as people. There's no silly misunderstandings or people interrupting confessions here, just two people who grow as their relationship does.

Been reading a lot of yuri this week, and this one is the weakest off all its not bad, but this manga has some serious pacing issue, sometime scene abruptly end sometime scene drag on too long. Also I feel whenever they talk it always about drama it feel like it want to became serious theme yuri but at the same time most of drama is not that serious at all hence it fail to became serious yuri, also I dont think I can say this is within cute yuri while some scene is cute the author really want to make it serious hence losing the cute side. Also the character is really bland and similar resulting in sometimes a boring conversation.

Ameiro Kouchakan Kandan is really average yuri manga, I think the author want to make it serious and sweet/cute yuri manga but fail at both resulting just average across every aspect.

It's got a very calm and lighthearted mood throughout, no unnecessary angst and only a bit of drama (not at all melodramatic like Citrus (Saburouta) for example), making for a very enjoyable read. I also loved how the main characters are straightforward with their feelings for one another and for their shop and it's future. Pretty much my favourite sort of romance.

Note to people like the guy below me: Please take note of the genres; comedy, shoujo-ai and slice-of-life. This GL isn't focused on romance or drama because that's not the point. It is a sweet portrayal of literally a slice of their lives while managing their tea house.

Another of the generic, boring yuri stories without any substance. Doesn't really contain any romance, there is no drama and while the character design is pretty sweet, the characters themselves are about as plain as possible.

Unless this is exactly what you're looking for, better stay away from Ameiro Kouchakan Kandan.

I love these types of shy pure romance ^///^. Its a great read if you want to kill time. Not the absolute best, but I would definitely say its in the above average area. Can't wait to see how this and fujieda miyabi's other stories come together in marble colour .

(Added this a bit late but I have to say that, while marble colour was a somewhat interesting view of what happened, dont get your hopes on too much continuation of this couple ;-

As one of my favorite Yuri manga-ka, this is Fujieda Miyabi doing what he does best--cute characters, sweet relationships and only the minimum of stress. This is not his best work (for that, see The Miko's Words and the Witch's Incantations), but definitely one that keeps me checking back for the next chapter. This is not a "change your life" manga, but it does wonders to keep my cynicism in check. My advice: sit back, read a few chapters and let your cares slip away for a little bit.

This is probably the sweetest and cutest yuri manga I have ever read, and I read a lot of yuri! First of all its by Fujieda Miyabi, who's well known for drawing really cute characters, and often they have very innocent personalities. I don't think this is for everyone, because the romance if very light-hearted. The manga is pretty unrealistic in a sense that the girl-girl relationships come a little too easy, but I like that dreamy aspect about it. My only gripe is that each chapter is rather short, and they only come out monthly in Yuri Hime magazine. If you guys read this and love it, you should check out Iono-sama the fanatics, which is just as cute art-wise, but the main character if a perverted lesbian queen so the themes are quite different lol.
