Description
Soyoung is devastated when her favorite musical actor is swallowed up by the world of TV. Just after she quits supporting him, she discovers charismatic actress Jaeyi in a theater performance of "Macbeth" and becomes a fan at first sight. By meeting Jaeyi after her shows and even doing her a favor, Soyoung goes from a mere fan to her good friend. But when Jaeyi has to work with celebrity actress Hyesun, who she has a troubled past with, it unexpectedly sours their friendship. All Soyoung wanted was to support her favorite actress...so why does this new development bother her so much?

Anyways. This is a fluffy yuri story. Our characters are pretty good at communication and being generally healthy. I liked how there were 'villains' either. The one character I felt was ominous, things were.. well
But overall the characters are loveable and the main couple are admirable.
There were entire chapters where I was literally smiling the whole way through. My cheeks actually hurt a bit right now.
Give it a read. I binged it in a day, just 51 chapters.
I honestly could read another 50 about these characters, and wish I could.
I think I'll check out My Boss's Special Request, cos I really liked the writing.

Stories that focus on the characters themselves sometimes write themselves. This is one of them. It's a nice, low-drama story, with the perfect pace for a developing romantic relationship. A great read. The ending does come rather abruptly, but it's still a great story! Would recommend.
I gotta agree with SureinDragon, it is a funny and sweet manhwa.
It had such a smooth flow and the character weren't boring. But then it just ended. The ending wasn't full filling. It felt like a half a$$ed ending. The problem wasn't solved completely or was just solved so easily for a problem that the FML has been dealing her whole career. It could've been a great manhwa had it gotten more chapters to smooth the problem out but no.
Will not re read.

Favorite Aspect: Funny and sweet with a unique setting and relatable adult characters.
After the Curtain Call is an excellent read if you enjoy lighthearted romance, following your dreams, or theater. The delightful slice-of-life setting does not focus around a school/office. Major conflicts are low-stakes while still maintaining a sense of forward momentum. The romance is well-paced between mature adults, without sacrificing tenderness and spontaneity for excessive drama. I cannot recommend this story enough!
One of my favorite things about After the Curtain Call is the adult characters and setting while maintaining lightheartedness. The story avoids overly gritty or melodramatic tension often featured in stories written about and for adults. This makes the story enjoyable and easy to read for all readers.
