I had to push trough thick and thin to almost finish that and OMG, it was a chore! But I said to myself, I gonna to all the way to the end to give it a fair shot. And it simply didn't get any better, au contraire, it got so bad I laughed. So bad it's good (not quite, but you get the gist). Where to start? Actually, the premise here is solid and has a lot of potential. Our FL, Lesian, is transmigrated to a story into a body of a neglected, emotionally managed youngest daughter of a Marquis. She's between a rock and a hard place, in one corner she is engaged to be wed to the Crown prince to loves another women and wants to just use Lesian to control her father, the Marquis, and in the other corner, she is living with her father, sister and brother who all bully and torment her, both physically and mentally. So, Lesian must evade both of these meanaces and carve her own way, find her allies and somehow survive this booby trapped life. I can see many good plot directions this could take...

But this manhwa goes into complete over the top ridicolousness almost right of the bat. The art is appalingly bad, with so many computer generated backgrounds, basic character design and pretty bad proportion , but it only that were the worst malefactor here.
The story itself becomes APSURD and makes no sense what so ever. Like none. We are dealing with royalty like Emperor, Crown Princes and Dukes here, and everybody acts like total thwats. Like they don't have two brain cells put together. In parts that is becouse the political background was never explained, and we in fact have no idea how powerful the Emperor is, what exactly does the Marquis do, or how the royal society is even constructed. Are there any other aristocrats? If the Marquis wants to rebel against the Emperor, does he need the military or some major foregin power to help him? Nothing is explained and thus rings hollow from the first scene. And the Emperor wants to cotnrol the Marquis by marrying his son to the Marquiss' daughter, then killing the Marquiss and his daughter? WTF? Like REALLY? That was the plan you had in mind? You, the Emperor, who is theoretically the most powerful man in the Empire? ANd if indeed he is not (not that would make for a compelling story, whwere the Emperor is limited in his outreach and tried to user the ), we HAVE NO IDEA about it!

But the story just goes from bad to worse, especially with the nonsensical relationship between the Crown PRince and his alleged mistress, Narah. One moment he loves her, then he doesn't, then he forgets all about her, then she is back in the game, then he's supicious... WTF! Like quite bad. and the ML, the Duke, is such a bland char! This might be my own personal taste, but such wied, offbeat chars written to be socially awkward and shy don't impress me in the least. He and Lesian have a cute moment or two, but he doesn't leave an impression at all and that's hardly fit for a ML I should drool over. Plus he looks like he's constantly high on weed, with his low-lidded eyes and generally slow-to-react behaviour.

And oh boy, don't get me started at the secret children and identities this story stoops to in the end, like a formulaic, low budget spanish soap opera. It's beyond hilariously bad and so droll I don't want to elaborate further on it. I was hoping agaionst all reason this would turn around, but it just kept descending deeper and deeper into maddness.

But perhaps the modt difficutl part to swallow here is the extremely slow pace! If you steamlines this into sensible chapters, I thingk about 50 chapters would suffice. And the second ML is completely wasted in a small and neglactable role. I could not care less for him.

If I were to script doctor this, I would spin this into Lesian's story of how she managed to juggle her father and the crown prince while secretly building her fortress with the Duke, and perhaps make a commentary on the mental state of someone who was bullied for decades by his family. How even then, there can be a light at the end of the tunnel. How you can make your destiny without your tormentors. But, no we get a lamentable excuse for a manhwa. Avoid at all costs!

Hmm, it's pretty much the same premise as other Villainess that became the FL because of the novel. She's OP in a way because she mastered the sword fat, maybe because of the past life she had being a sword student-ish.

Probably the good plot I saw was the revelation of their relationship with the Crown Prince.
Also, I like how the good characters are sharp tho. THEY ACTUALLY THINK! They're not the gullible ones.

Actually, I read this until Chap 30. Took a long time to read it back and straight to end. It was boring hahaha but I had to finish what I started.

Art kinda declined over time, but it's alright. Wouldn't really recommend unless you ran out of things to read.

Started well right away but around chapters 50-60 it started to "run."
I don't know if it's the fault of the translation I read or that's just the way it is but the last few chapters didn't satisfy me.
There are too many issues that in my opinion were left unresolved. I would have preferred 10 more chapters but with a "calmer" story (in the sense that they explained what happened well as they went along).
The illustrator (Beopsaeng) was really good. For currently being the only manhwa associated with him, he is very talented.
I recommend reading it but, in my opinion, it does not enthuse like others I have read.

was a tough one to finish that's for sure....

First - the MC is interesting and I like her personality. She's confident and strong, without being unnecessarily bitchy (many "strong" MCs in other comics are often just really bitchy if you look at it from another perspective). The plot is also alright and amusing enough for people to continue reading. That is, until the story started moving incredibly fast without properly building a foundation. Lots of loopholes starting popping out here and there and the whole story started to become really strangely childish. Firstly - the ML has a nice personality and his personality is pretty unique and refreshing; he's a duke but doesn't behave crazy overbearing but is just genuinely nice to the MC. However, he fell in love with her ridiculously fast which cheapened the whole story, and suddenly, he started behaving like a generic ML. The main problem though, is the shitty foundation which I mentioned earlier. The whole POINT of the crown prince trying to bring down the MC's family is not thoroughly explored, and the politics of the whole empire is also not even properly explained. Why is the Crown Prince doing this? Why do they act like there are literally only 3 noble families in the whole damn empire? Why are the politics so simplified and badly explained? Fine, the ML is boring, the plot is shitty, fine. But then then EVEN THE ENEMIES are so awfully written. Huh? The author had sooo much potential to make them more menacing and evil and whatnot but they seemed to be so 2 dimensional and badly written that they just seem like clowns and props for the MC to seem OP. Lastly - even the romance is so rushed. The MC fell in love with the ML pretty fast into the story and they just seemed to be bulldozing into everything crazy fast without any darn proper foundation! Which is honestly a shame, I quite like MC's nonchalant and straightforward attitude (as mentioned, no unnecessary bitchiness) but the author made her quite cringe later on into the story. Also, later on, the schemes became even more simplified that they were and the whole drama just died down. The only thing that was decent even later on in the story is that there are no drawn out misunderstandings and they MC and ML behave like adults. I won't say that they are completely adult-like, but the main couple and the crown prince are surprisingly mature as they don't get riled up easily (can't stand those MCs who get all pissy after a minor thing has happened) and they actually TALK and communicate. That's the only good part of the story that stands out from other comics. Goodness gracious. What a waste of potential.

It's not amazing. But it is somewhat better than the average. Which is my way of saying it is not crappy, just okay enough to entertain. It will keep you entertained if you need some fluff to pass time.

Really expected more after a solid first chapter. The MC is confident, which is good, but is still dense despite being written like she's clever and behaves like an /r/thathappened post. The setting is derivative - basically your standard 'family hates me' affair, but the plot of the MC trying to get out of her marriage is confusing. We've also seen 2 MLs so far and both are absolute dogshit. The actual ML is generic as fuck, and the red head behaved like a clingy psychopath. Both called the MC 'interesting' to her face which is morbidly hilarious. There was also an action scene in ch.8 or something that was shockingly poorly drawn. To top it off there's a healthy dose of queerbaiting.
